If you ever noticed how similar Dacula is to the name of a rather famous vampire and wondered what the connection was, you are not alone. Though city officials insist Dacula was established in 1905 and the name was created by using letters taken from the names of Atlanta and Decatur, at the Daily Gwinnetian we reject this as obvious hogwash.
We asked The Man On The Street if he believed there was any vampirism in the city's origins, and he explained as follows, "Man, I've seen plenty of weird stuff in Dacula. I don't know about vampires, but my ex-wife's lawyers are out there and they bled me dry for sure."

Keep it classy, Gwinnett. This is not a political forum, nor is it place for intolerance or crude behavior of any sort. We are all in this together, so just enjoy the ride.
