Those new to Gwinnett County might be inspired when first hearing of Hi Hope Road, only to find that reality falls well short of a name seemingly brimming with optimism. Immediately upon turning off of Highway 316, travelers will note that much of Hi Hope is defined by the large presence of the Gwinnett County Jail.
Those brave enough to continue the trek will find the Gwinnett County Police Headquarters nearby, and across the street, the Gwinnett Intervention Education (GIVE) Center East, which is an alternative public school that caters to students with discipline issues. We asked The Man On The Street for some insight and he said, "I was at the GIVE Center my senior year, and it was actually pretty convenient because my dad and uncle were in jail just across the street." If you had high hopes for correctional facilities, then look no further than Hi Hope Road.

Keep it classy, Gwinnett. This is not a political forum, nor is it place for intolerance or crude behavior of any sort. We are all in this together, so just enjoy the ride.
