Business Spotlight: Mega Mart

Gwinnetians needing groceries with a side of culture and a dash of showbiz should consider the Mega Mart on Pleasant Hill. Located in the old Gwinnett Place Mall, Mega Mart features traditional Asian foods and other groceries downstairs, and a department store upstairs. We typically come for the fish market and produce area, both of which feature many items you just can't find elsewhere.






Today we picked up some salted jellyfish and baby bok choy for a rather delicious soup. When you're done with the groceries, head upstairs for clothing and home items. We thought the D-Day calendar would be the perfect gift for any World War 2 veteran.



"But wait," you're thinking, "didn't you say something about showbiz?" That's right Gwinnetians, our humble Gwinnett Place Mall is the filming location of Starcourt Mall in Stranger Things. The main interior portion of the mall is closed, but you can see into it from the back of Mega Mart.


Once you're done shopping, drive around to the other side of the building and find the mall entrance shown below, which you'll recognize if you're a Stranger Things fan.




And in true 80s throwback style, there's even a smoking section.
