Not a Single Haberdashery Among the Shoppes at Webb Gin

Following our report on the Webb Gin Nuclear Waste Dump yesterday, here's a look at the nearby Shoppes at Webb Gin.

Based on the use of the Renaissance-era spelling shoppe instead of standard modern English, we were expecting to be transported back to a bygone age when visiting the Shoppes. We eagerly anticipated purveying the wares at a haberdashery or milliner, a rustic supper from the fishmonger, some healing herbs from the apothecary, and perchance an armorer's demonstration of his sword-making prowess.

However, instead of a vibrant Renaissance-era market like the one above, we wandered aimlessly through soulless 21st century corporate entities with not even a smithy in sight, and when we saw the Chili's sign, we knew it was time to leave, for we had been duped yet again by pretentious suburbanite grammar. These were not shoppes, they were stores.
