Commuters taking Buford Drive through our fair county seat have no doubt noticed the beautiful new Lawrenceville mural on the retaining wall by the post office, though some Gwinnetians are admittedly perplexed about which city the mural actually displays.
We asked The Man On The Street for some clarity, and he offered the following. "Man, I'm really not sure. Like maybe they confused us with another Lawrenceville? I'm all for artistic license, but the mural has a kind of Mediterranean vibe or something like that. I haven't seen any buildings like this down on the square, but then there are some parts that are kind of close. Like we've got Oyster Bay across from the courthouse and there's at least an Oyster Pub in the painting. There's also a bunch of old liquor bottles on the ground in front of the mural, so they definitely nailed one prominent element of the DTL culture."
Keep scrolling for more views of the gorgeous Lawrenceville mural that may or may not actually depict Lawrenceville, along with a selection of the distilled spirits enjoyed by visitors to the site.

Keep it classy, Gwinnett. This is not a political forum, nor is it place for intolerance or crude behavior of any sort. We are all in this together, so just enjoy the ride.
