Another day, another chile relleno. Today I stopped by the El Ranchero in Grayson, conveniently located in the same strip as the Grayson Murder Kroger. El Ranchero has the coolest booths of any Mexican restaurant in the area, so my hopes were running pretty high when I placed my order. Coming in at $6.36 for the relleno and a side of rice, this was my cheapest relleno to date, but imagine my dismay to discover not a succulent poblano chile, but a cut bell pepper. I'm still chasing the high from that legendary La Caz chile relleno, the food of the gods, and a lowly bell pepper was not the fix this relleno junkie needed.
