Loyal DG readers have no doubt been intrigued by the seemingly never-ending twists and turns in the saga of Mulberrian independence, and if you thought the drama was over, you would be sorely mistaken. As our colleagues at Channel 2 reported this morning, there will be an emergency court hearing tomorrow to determine whether or not the voter referendum can be turned over to the people on the 21st, so we caught up with The Man on The Street to find out his thoughts on this latest development.
"They think a court hearing can stop the Mulberry Liberation Front?" he said, piling another sandbag onto a makeshift fortification. "No snake-in-the-grass lawyer or jackbooted judge can stem the tides of revolution." Surveying the bucolic grounds of the world-class Hog Mountain disc golf course, he filled another sandbag. "This land is ours, we will accept nothing less than full autonomy, and we will defend it to the last drop of Mulberrian blood if necessary." Grimacing, he began unwinding a roll of razor wire and we concluded the interview.
