Pickleball Has Got to Be the New Axe-Throwing

If you've heard of pickle ball but don't know what the hype is all about, we've got you covered here at DGHQ. We sent our intrepid staff out to Pickle and Social at the Exchange in Buford to find out what exactly pickleball is and why it has taken the nation by storm. Here's what we learned:

1. It has nothing to do with pickles.

We'd like to tell you more, but that's about as far as we got. We can say with certainty however that pickleball is the new axe-throwing. You remember axe-throwing, right? Let's break it down:

A. Both axe-throwing and pickleball blossomed almost overnight from obscurity to mainstream social activities.

B. Both axe-throwing and pickleball are extremely popular among millennial craft beer enthusiasts.

And there you have it. If you were wondering where your axe-throwing friends have gone, they are probably playing pickleball as we speak, and likely drinking a microbrewery IPA between rounds. We're just hoping that next year curling becomes the new pickleball.
