Kool-Aid Man Spotted on Camp Mitchell Road

Residents of the Wisteria Place subdivision on Camp Mitchell Road were treated last night to a visit from none other than the Kool-Aid Man, that wall-smashing sensation known for his intense loathing of masonry. Much like the elusive Sasquatch, the Kool-Aid Man is notoriously hard to catch on camera, though we were able to document his trademark destruction. Compare the Wisteria Place entrance before his arrival (above) to after (below). If you happen to see the Kool-Aid Man, don't be afraid, just greet him with the customary "OH YEAH!" and stand clear of any nearby brick walls. *The Daily Gwinnetian is offering a reward of exactly $3.68 for any verifiable photo of the Kool-Aid Man in Gwinnett County. Yes, that number is oddly specific. It is the amount of change found under our couch cushions.

Business Spotlight: Park Avenue Thrift Outlet

It's Wednesday, my dudes, and that means it's time for a trip to the Park Avenue Thrift Outlet on Clayton Street in Lawrenceville. What is Park Avenue Thrift Outlet, you ask? It is none other than the dumping ground for everything that can't be sold ... at a Park Avenue Thrift store. That's right, my dudes, if it goes unsold at any of the Gwinnett-area Park Avenue Thrift stores or doesn't meet their rigorous pre-owned merchandise standards, it winds up at the Park Avenue Thrift Outlet. Use your imagination and think of the wares that are unfit for a Park Avenue Thrift, then go lower. But why Wednesday, you ask? That, my dudes, is because the outlet uses flat rate pricing. Everything in the store is the same price! The price varies by day, for example on Saturday everything is $1.75, but on Wednesday, every item in the store is 25 CENTS! No, I am not making this up, and here's what we bought for a quarter today (edited for those with delicate sensibilities): Not...

Business Spotlight: Wayne Burnaine, Attorney at Law

James Dean, Elvis, Benedict Cumberbatch ... sometimes the name is an entity of itself. After all, would we really be that enamored with James Dean if his parents had gone with Hubert? And sometimes, one name rises above them all. If you looked for a hundred years, we doubt you'd find another name with the sheer magnetic aura of WAYNE BURNAINE. Located on not-so-scenic Scenic Highway in Lawrenceville, the offices of WAYNE BURNAINE are as enigmatic as the man himself. When we visited the office there was not a soul to be found, though the parking lot offered an intriguing assortment of work trucks, abandoned vehicles, and general debris. But who is WAYNE BURNAINE? A cursory google search indicates that the office is closed permanently and that WAYNE BURNAINE practiced law for 46 years, but there is obviously far more to his story. If you know WAYNE BURNAINE, or better yet, are WAYNE BURNAINE, we'd love to sit down for an interview.
