This Antenna Isn't Fooling Anybody

One of these things is not like the other. Casual passers-by on Duluth Highway in Lawrenceville may have missed it but the discerning eye will quickly find the imposter. We here at DGHQ were stumped concerning the true nature of this device, so we turned to The Man On The Street for his thoughts, and he rather sagaciously suggested that the mysteriously camouflaged antenna is a logical nesting site for the bird surveillance drones that we have previously reported on. Gwinnett's Most Misunderstood Street Sign

Long-time DG subscribers have no doubt read our PSA about driving in Gwinnett, but we felt the need to highlight one particular street sign for emphasis as it seems to be almost completely misunderstood. If you have driven in Gwinnett for more than about fifteen minutes, you are likely aware that Gwinnetians have almost no concept of what a stop sign means, but somewhat ironically, they almost always interpret a 'keep moving' sign as a stop sign. *editor's note: yes, we are aware of what 'ironic' means. That's why we said 'somewhat ironically'. It's not like we're Alanis Morissette, who sang an entire song about irony, in which nothing ironic happened, and then named the song "Ironic", which is in fact the only ironic thing about the song. But we digress, and we're not entirely sure what it is about a 'keep moving' sign that inspires such trepidation in Gwinnetian hearts, but it's not uncommon to be behind a line of car...

Destination Alert: The Statue of Liberty

No, not that one. You don't have to go to the Big Apple to see Lady Liberty; just head south on 212 until you hit Jackson Lake and you can't miss her. The old bridge piling may be a far cry from Liberty Island, but the ratchet straps really (and quite literally) tie the whole thing together.
