We Survived the Dacula Murder Cabin

The question isn't did someone get murdered in this cabin, the question is how many. Situated just off the railroad tracks along Winder Highway, the Dacula Murder Cabin is a stone's throw from Pleasant Hill Cemetery . Approaching the Murder Cabin, we were greeted by a fully articulated deer skeleton. Ominous to be sure, but our journalistic pursuits are undeterred by the threat of danger. The Dacula Murder Cabin poses many mysteries. Why is it so close to the railroad tracks? Who lived here? What secrets do these walls conceal, and what terrible stories can they tell? Old clothes hang on the rotting door. Inside, a chaotic mess crowned with overturned furniture hides the floor. Eventually we made it out in one piece, and that's not something we imagine everyone who has entered the cabin can say. If you know anything about the history of this frightening abode, drop it in the comments below.

Six Flags Adds Authenticity to Wild West Show

Gwinnettians looking for something exciting to do this weekend might consider a trip to nearby amusement park Six Flags to check out the popular Wild West Comedy Show, now featuring active shooters and an exciting crowd survival challenge. We Found Your Bicycle

Gwinnetians, are you missing a black Hyper Havoc mountain bike? Boy have we got some good news for you. While driving down Hurricane Shoals road we caught sight of an odd-looking structure in the woods that we hadn't noticed before, so of course our irrepressible journalistic instincts kicked in. Surely there was a story here, and sure enough, there was. What we thought was an abandoned structure turned out to be the massive metal tank seen above, and peeking around the left side there you can see a bicycle tire. There's your bike on the ground at the far end of the tank in the picture above. If you'd like to retrieve it, just head to Hurricane Shoals Road and look for the 'No Dumping or Trespassing' sign across from the Gwinnett Online Campus parking lot. The tank is in the woods directly behind the sign, so proceed at your own risk, and if you have any insight on the history of the metal tank, drop it in the comments.
